Meditation is not only for people who are calm, still, and have nothing else to do. It’s also for people who are busy.
There are many different techniques that can be used to meditate which can suit any type of mind. For example, if you have a busy mind, you may want to try a short meditation technique like mindful breathing or mindful walking. Mindful breathing or mindful walking is a form of meditation that can be done anywhere. It involves taking deep breaths and focusing on the sensation of the breath entering and leaving your body. Many people have a hard time unwinding from the stresses of everyday life. But walking and breathing exercises can be a really easy way to relax your mind, body and spirit. In fact, walking for as little as 10 minutes per day has been shown to reduce stress levels. All you need is a comfortable pair of shoes and some time on your hands to reap the benefits of this exercise! You maybe asking yourself when is the best time to meditate? Should you meditate at night or should you meditate first thing in the morning? When you're too busy to meditate, that's the best time to meditate. Most people have a morning routine and meditation is a part of that routine. Maybe you should think about starting your own routine and figure out how to incorporate meditation into it. The next question you are probably asking yourself is how long should you meditate? Should you meditate for 5 minutes, 30 minutes or 1 hour? Meditation is a popular name for several practices that promote relaxation, contemplation, or introspection. From Buddhist monks to Oprah Winfrey, many people swear by the benefits of meditation. Some people say they can't meditate more than 5 minutes, while others say they need at least 30 minutes to experience the full benefits of meditation. How long you meditate is totally up to you. Me personally, I can only meditate for about 5 minutes and that’s usually first thing in the morning when I wake up. Meditation is a great way to reduce stress and improve overall health. There are many different types of meditation techniques, each with their own benefits. Meditation comes in many different forms, but the basic idea is to calm the mind and focus on breathing. The goal is to clear your mind of any thoughts so you can think more clearly. Your body also benefits from meditation by lowering blood pressure, reducing anxiety and stress levels. ![]() Sooooo, it's the second day of 2022 and I did what most people do at the beginning of every year, I joined the gym. I know that you are probably saying that by the end of February I'll quit and I promise you that this time I won't quit. I know I sound like someone with and addiction, but I'm not going to quit this time. I was doing great by going three times a week before this whole horrible pandemic broke out, but then just like the whole world I shut down. Over the last year and a half I've gained 10 pounds. I was on a mission to hit my goal, but instead I took 10 steps backwards. My birthday is next month and God willing I will be turning 55. Yep the big double nickel. Mentally I don't feel 55, but because I'm not in the best shape, I physically feel 55. I need my body to get on the same page with my mind. "LOL" and in order for me to do that I have to change some things. So I've decided to do a 360 degree change in the way that I live my life. Here's how I decided that I wanted to live my life and the changes that I'm making.
This is my Best Life Plan. What's yours? Thanks for stopping by. Until Next Time Make It A Great Day! Audrey |
