Welcome To Wize Owl Book Club ![]() I am so excited to be able to relaunch the book club. When I first started Good Morning Gwinnett I launched the book club, but then I canceled it because I didn't have the time to read as much as I would have liked. Since the Coronavirus has caused me to sheltered in place this time has given me the chance to think about what's really important. It has shown me that I was missing out on life by not doing the things that I like doing such as reading. I used to read all the time, but because I was so busy just working in my business I forgot about all of the little pleasures that life has to offer. Spending the last month and half with my family in close proximity almost 24/7 reminded me that I loved them very very much and that I really was missing out on life. So that being said, not only am I relaunching the book club the club now has a name. The name of the book club is Wize Owl Book Club. I got this name because I was going to call it Smart Chick Read, but I realized that I wanted men to be in the group too, so I replaced the word smart with wise and the owl just fit. So that's how I got the name. Our First Book: The book that I am about to start reading is It Takes What It Takes by Trevor Moawad. I watched an interview that he gave on Impact Theory and I just loved what he had to say. Every week I will be post an update about my thoughts on the book and I invite you to do the same. You can leave your post in the comment section of each post update. The book is sold on Amazon and you can Click Here or click on the cover of the book to get your copy. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this book. Also feel free to make book suggestions here. Now I must say that this club is for business books and biographies. No novels please. I be sharing my thoughts next week about this book and any insights that I get from reading it. I'll post here but I will also be talking about it on Good Morning Gwinnett Podcast. Audrey

Looking back on when I was younger one of the things I loved was reading. I used to read all of the time. I remember my brother saying to me he wished he had a brother, because all I wanted to do was read. I continued reading as an adult, but I must admit over the past 5 years I've probably only read about 5 books which is not good. Well at least not for me. So I made a decision that I wanted to start my own book club in 2019 and every month I will announce a new book that I'm reading and I invite you to join me and share your thoughts right here about the book that we are reading for the month. The goal here is to read at least 12 books by the end of the month.
So come on and join me for the GMG book club. Check back next week to see what book we will be kicking off the new year with. Audrey |
