Sugar Hill, Georgia

Picture
Over the past decade, Sugar Hill has actively engaged its citizens to determine what investments or improvements would make it a better place to live. As a result, the city now boasts world class parks, a gorgeous city hall, a unique community plaza, splash park and first-class events.  Among the recent additions is the E Center, a 150,000 square-foot mixed-use facility providing a place to EXERCISE, EAT, and be ENTERTAINED.  The project sits right in the heart of Sugar Hill central business district, overlooking the Bowl concert venue as well as on the city’s main street, West Broad.  The facility is a great place to take in a show, grab a bite to eat, enjoy a locally-crafted beer or a glass of wine and shop all within the liberty of the SHINE entertainment district.

However, don’t take our word for it.  Here are some other thoughts about the facility and our thriving downtown.
Sugar Hill may not have the longest or most detailed history amongst its neighboring cities having been incorporated in 1939, but it does possess a strong sense of what it aims to be: a tight-knit, community-oriented city that has something to offer everyone. It is with this goal in mind that the E-Center was opened. The E Center, the new heart of downtown Sugar Hill, is designed to offer a variety of opportunities to build community with plenty of gathering spaces for a range of experiences. (AJC, April 15, 2019)

“The name E Center was carefully selected to capture what we all believe makes for a vibrant downtown. A place where you can feel excitement and energy, eat and be entertained, enjoy a pleasant surrounding and engage with your friends and family, or just call it what we do: the center of everything. The E Center is a long time coming and is a direct response to what the community said they wanted years ago: a downtown of our own where we can eat, shop, be entertained and engage with our neighbors,” Sugar Hill Mayor Steve Edwards

Sugar Hill has a bright future ahead. The city recently opened The E Center @ Sugar Hill. This mixed-use community consists of various commercial and residential space, and we think it’s be sweet. Grab a slice of artisan pizza at Crazy Doughs, and be on the look out for other restaurants to open, like Central City Tavern and Rushing Trading Co. (Explore Gwinnett)
