I think everyone should call the Salvation Army and see if you get through.. many times folks call the Salvation army and United Way and they are just transferred around from number to number and the sad thing is they never get assistance but yet these organization receives millions of dollars a year. No one ever hold them accountable

Totally true Lannie. Years ago I needed help and my wife was out of a job and I was out of a job. I went to the salvation army multiple times and each time they told me they would pay for the last hundred dollars of my utility bill. I had to get someone else to pay for the rest of it before they would offer up a single penny. We had no money for food no money for utilities no money for rent. They would not help. Needless to say now that I'm in much better circumstances I never put a single penny in their kettles.
