Yesterday was so cool. I got a chance to go to the Infinite Energy Center where so many local leaders were yesterday, but what was really exciting was the fact that I got to represent Good Morning Gwinnett and get a chance to be within 100 feet of Vice President Hopeful Kamala Harris.
Before Kamala took the stage Jon Ossoff, Stacy Abrams, Lucy McBath, Hank Johnson and Carolyn Bordeaux took to the stage to rally the crowed and to express just how important the 2020 election is.
Kamala followed to remind the people why they should vote for Vice President Joe Biden and herself. There is a lot on the line and that was the general message from all of the candidates. We have only one day left to see what the turn out will be. However it turns out I hope that people remember that we are all Americans and that there are others out there just waiting for us to turn on each other so that they can come in and finish us off.
All in all yesterday was history making for me and my team as we braved the brisk Sunday afternoon all while wearing a mask to make sure we were practicing safety from the Corona Virus.
This evening I hosted a virtual town hall with three hopefuls looking to take office here in Gwinnett County. In attendance at this virtual town hall were Derrick J. Wilson, Rebecca Mitchell and Patsy Austin-Garson. Each candidate talked about issues that they felt would make our community better. You can watch the full event here.
