![]() It was so nice to just outside this weekend and enjoy the St. Patrick Day festival. My husband and I work a lot, so just to be able to sit outside and enjoy the festivities was great. I really appreciated just being out with people from my community. I've made a vow that we will do more of this. Yes we have to work, but I realize that we have to live also. Saturday was simple living at it's best. My husband got to sample a very strong Irish beer and that was cool. I don't like beer, so I had to pass on that one. After the event he thanked me for dragging him out of the house. Sometimes it's the simple things that make you appreciate life. We didn't have to dress up and drive somewhere far to enjoy ourselves. It was a breezy Saturday afternoon and we were dressed in sweats and jackets. We drove about 10 minutes to downtown Lawrenceville, parked the car and walked about 2 blocks and we were right in the middle of all of the fun. I would like to encourage you to take some time and just enjoy the simple things. Life is short and you really should try to live it to the fullest while you can. That's what I intend on doing. This past weekend was a wake up call for me. I don't have to spend all of my time grinding to grow the business. I can take a Time Out and live a little. That's all I got for you today. Until Next Time Make It A Great Day! Audrey

It's been a while since I've been to a big conference. I've been a speaker and trainer at some small conferences, but I haven't been to a big conference in a few years. I've never been to a podcast conference, so I'm really excited about being able to attend Podfest Expo in Orlando. My plane take off in a few hours and I can't wait to get in the presence of all of the other podcasters. I know that a lot will be going on over the next four days and I will probably be exhausted when I return home, but that doesn't stop me from being totally excited.
One of the reasons I am excited is because I get to be in the company of some amazing podcast host who are really empowering their audience with the shows that they produce weekly. I want to make sure that I know all that I can about creating a great show for my audience here on Good Morning Gwinnett. My goal for 2019 is to grow my podcast to 1,000,000 downloads and subscribers combined. I know that this can be done, so it's going to be great finding out how others in this industry have done the same thing. I've been podcasting since 2008, so I'm not new to this, however I am new to podcasting as a business. When I started it was just a hobby, now it is a huge part of my business and my brand. Since I will probably not get a chance to produce the show tomorrow, God willing I will be back on Monday with a recap of everything that happened at the expo. So enjoy the rest of your week. Podfest Expo Here I Come!!!!!!!!!! Until Next Time Make It A Great Day! Audrey
Check out this video about the Gwinnett Community Based Mentoring Program. GCPS has proactively developed a Community-Based Mentoring program to connect caring adults in the community with male and female students in grades 4 through 12 to provide guidance, encouragement, and support to help them become successful young adults, both in and out of school.
Mentoring can be a huge benefit to these youth as they move through life. Being able to have someone to talk to and confide in about what's happening in their lives will only help them to become more productive as they move through life. Until Next Time Make It A Great Day! Audrey |
