Buford Georgia was once referred to as the New York City Of Gwinnett County because it was very progressive in business and education. It is the home of Gwinnett County first bank.  Buford is a great place to live and boast some of the best schools in the state.  As a matter of fact the schools are so great that students from other towns come to Buford just because of the academic excellence the schools affords a student.  Getting a diploma from Buford High School is like graduating from Yale.

Buford is just one of the amazing places to live in Gwinnett County.  It is home to 13,000 residents and that is growing.  The reason for the growth is because it is a great place to live with a great school system.  It has charming main streets, but a growing business industry.  It is centrally located to Atlanta which makes it east to commute for business or pleasure.  But don't think that you have to leave Buford to enjoy all that life has to offer, because you don't.  The Mall Of Georgia is located in Buford along with some amazing restaurants serving up delicious food.  There's also the beautiful Buford Community Center which house a theater as well as a conference space.  There's so much I can say about Buford, but you just need to experience it yourself, so if you are ever in our neck of the woods stop and pay Buford a visit.

Until Next Time
Make It A Great Day!

The Braselton’s first settled in the area now named after the family when William Harrison Braselton of Hall County, GA, married to Susan Hosch, purchased approximately 800 acres of land from Mr. G. W. Smith, Sr.   The land was the perfect fit for Braselton – it was inexpensive and near his wife’s family home.  By 1876, the town was quickly growing to become a center for farming and commerce in Jackson and many other surrounding counties.  In 1887 John Oliver Braselton, the youngest son of William and Susan decided at the age of 8 to start his own country store.  After a horse and buggy accident destroyed his 6x6 foot building, he moved into a larger space and his older brothers Green and William Henry joined the business.  Their success grew and the need for more room continued to be a problem.  In 1904 the young men began work on their 4th store.  A beautiful brick building was completed on September 1, 1904 and was referred to as “the most handsomest and most completely arranged brick structure in this part of the State” by the local newspapers.  By this time the brothers became known as the “three B’s” and grew a respectable business based on perseverance and cooperation.
