Ugggg! My NFT Is Not Selling!!!!!! Now What?.
This a little bit disappointing to say the least, but I'll keep pushing forward. If I sell one NFT I will consider the collection a success. I knew going in that this may be a challenge, because I'm not a young white male or Gary Vee and my artwork isn't a crypto punk or a bored ape. As I did my research I noticed that this was the type of artwork that was selling, however I did see a woman's collection that was doing really well, but that was few and far in between. I thought about starting my own discord page, but I don't have the time or the interest to manage that. I did tweet about my NFT collection and got some hearts back. I think I'm going to double down on Twitter. I'm going to go back to Fiverr and find people who have a huge Crpto or NFT following on Twitter to see how that turns out. I've heard that many in the NFT world hangout on Twitter. I'm on Twitter too, but it's my podcast that is syndicated there, I'm not there talking about NFTs, but this may have to change. I have my NFT set to expire in 6 months, so I still have some time to sell some of the collection. It would be great to sell the entire collection. I want let the fact that no one has bought yet stop me from marketing the collection in every way that I can think of that's ethical. I knew that this wouldn't be easy, so I'm here for the long haul. Stop by again to see what's happening with The Madam Butterfly NFT. By the way if you want to check the collection you can do so here https://www.MadamButterflyNFT.com. I know by now you've probably heard of this thing called an NFT and are probably wondering what the heck it is. The easiest way for me to explain it is to say think of an NFT like a collectible car or a baseball trading card. People love collectibles like art and all kinds of trinkets, so an NFT is that, but in digital format at the moment.
I invented a line of collectible dolls in 1999. They were the first plus-size fashion dolls to hit the doll scene in 2000. I ran that company for 5 years before I dissolved it and moved on to coaching other entrepreneurs how to start and run businesses. Fast forward to today, I decided that I wanted to dip my toe back into the collectible industry and launch an NFT and boy what the heck was thinking when I decided to do that? Well I was thinking that this NFT thing looked exciting and fun. I thought that I would create some artwork from a picture of my Madam CJ Walker Tribute doll that I had gotten done and launch my very own NFT. Shoot, how hard could it really be, I thought? Well that was a month ago since I started my NFT journey and there were days I said to myself forget this crap. It's stressing me out. I was tempted to throw my NFT project on the backburner, but every time I attempted to do so, something would say try one more time. So let me walk you through my journey up to where I am now in the process of about to finally launch. So the first thing I did was name my NFT Madam Butterfly. I wanted to use Madam CJ Walker's name, but I didn't want to run into any legal issues, so I just changed the name. I decided on using the word butterfly because I love butterflies and it made since. I had already launched a community for women in business called The Butterfly Squad. www.TheButterflySquad.biz. As I looked into the NFT world I had another idea for The Butterfly Squad that I will tell you about later after I actually launch Madam Butterfly. The Journey Begins
Make It A Great Day Audrey
So last month I was looking for ways to level up the Good Morning Gwinnett Podcast and blog. I started to hear about the Metaverse and set out on a journey to see how I could incorporate the Metaverse into my business. The more I looked, all I could find was explanations about what it was and a lot about NFTs. So I dug a little deeper into NFTs and realized that people were selling ugly artwork and making millions. So I dug a little a deeper because now I was intrigued at what the heck NFTs were and why were people going crazy over them.
What I discovered was that NFTs (Non-Fungible- Tokens) were a way for people to sell digital art to collectors. It was a new spin on collecting stuff, but in the digital age. Now, I understood the whole thing about creating collectibles, because I am from the world of doll collecting. You see I invented the first plus-size fashion dolls and they were collectibles, so I understood why collectors were so excited. Once I got the gist of the whole NFT thing, I started to think about launching my own NFT around one of my dolls. I created a tribute doll to Madam CJ Walker who was not only the first Black self-made female millionaire in America, but she was the first female self-made millionaire in America. So, I started the journey of launching the NFT and I'm almost there. My collection is created and my NFT will be live soon, just in time to celebrate Black History month. This wasn't a simple thing to do for someone who doesn't code and very unfamiliar with the space, but I figured it out. Now that I understand the NFT process, I'm back to looking at how I leverage my business in the Metaverse. The more I do my research the more I understand that the opportunities for entrepreneurs to do business in the Metaverse are unlimited. I've already figured out how to take Good Morning Gwinnett into the Metaverse. What I realize is that in order for entrepreneurs to do business in the Metaverse they are going to have to become knowledgeable in coding or they will have to create a plan and a budget to pay someone to help them. If you want your business to be a part of the quickly approaching Web 3.0 you'd better start planning now. It's not mainstream just yet, but it will be in about 18 months. So if you want to give your business a jumpstart into the future, start now learning what you need to know about doing business in the Metaverse now. Don't wait until the market is saturated and then try to come in, because your customer will have to cut through all of the noise to find you. Now that my NFT is about to launch, I will start working on my plan to launch Good Morning Gwinnett into the Metaverse. I have a great idea of what that looks like, now I have to go do some more research on how to launch. That being said, this podcast and blog will be going in new direction, which I'm calling Your Business 3.0. I will be talking about NFTs, Metaverse, AR/VR and growing your business in the Metaverse. So make sure to continue to follow the podcast and the blog to learn about how to navigate the future of technology and how to leverage it to grow your business. I hope that you are as excited as I am about Your Business 3.0. Before I go deep into the Metaverse I will share my NFT journey with you in the next few posts, so that you can follow along and see the outcome. Until Next Time Make It A Great Day! Audrey |
