Jessica has a diverse background of leadership, program development and community involvement. She has been instrumental in the development of clinics, conferences, trainings, and seminars for community groups, corporations, students and parents. Jessica’s experience ranges from conceptualizing programs, overseeing training, developing best practices, coordination, facilitation of programs and conferences, and managing evaluation strategies for continuous improvement. Currently, Jessica works at the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce as the Gwinnett Young Professionals program coordinator. She is responsible for all programs and events catered to young professionals in Gwinnett County. Her hope is to engage the next generation of leaders by acting locally while thinking globally.

In this episode I talk to Sara Heady who is the Membership Service Coordinator for the Gwinnett Chamber Of Commerce. She is going to share with us the importance of attending events and how it can help you grow your business. She gives great advice for those people who know that getting out there and networking is going to help them grow their business, but they hate networking because they are shy. I totally understand this, because I am somewhat shy when it comes to networking. It feels crazy to me when I have to just walk up to someone and introduce myself. If you met me you would probably say that I wasn't shy, but I am when it comes to networking. Here's the thing though, I don't let that stop me from going out there and doing it. Sara give some great tips on what you can do to help you network better when you are shy. Take a listen to this episode.
My guest today is Jennifer Rusz, CEO of Sterling Rose Corporation located in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Jennifer and her team offer an array of services which includes business planning, business consulting, technology consulting and marketing. The company is very accomplished. Sterling Rose Consulting Corp was accepted earlier this year to become members of the Forbes Finance Council, an invitation-only organization for executives in accounting, financial planning, wealth and asset management, and investment firms.
In order to qualify as a member of the Forbes Finance Council, a candidate must hold an executive role at an accounting, financial planning, wealth and asset management, or investment firm with a headquarters or office located in North America with a minimum of $1 million in annual revenue. The Forbes Finance Council looks for executives whose success in the financial services industry has been recognized publicly and who give back to the community.
